Microsoft Sticky Notes Syncs With Other Devices and Platforms
Microsoft Sticky Notes is a desktop organizational tool that synchronizes with other devices and platforms. It lets you create multiple notes in different colors and choose which are displayed to prevent clutter on your desktop, and it also has a hub where you can find them easily. It also integrates with Cortana, the Windows assistant, so when you write a time or date inside a sticky note, an Add reminder button appears to let you set it as an event in your calendar. In addition, writing an address or a flight number inside a note opens maps to show you the location and connects it with Bing to display information based on your search.
Another very useful feature of this app is that it automatically synchronizes all your Sticky Notes lists with the others in your account, so when you edit a note on a mobile device like an Android tablet or an iPhone, the changes will also be reflected in the same list on your computer desktop back at home or at work. To do this, just open the settings of the Sticky Notes app and check that Sync now is turned on.
You can also trigger a manual sync from within the main window of the application by pressing the gear icon in the upper-right corner; the button will change to Sync now and then return to its original state when the process is complete. In the same menu, you can also turn on Insights for Cortana, which allows the virtual assistant to scan your Sticky Notes lists for information such as dates, phone numbers, addresses and websites to simplify acting on them or creating reminders on your behalf.
